An idea that has transcended itself
What happens when Volvo Cars, Sony, Alfa Laval, SAAB, and a dozen other leading organizations gather in the same room, not to compete, but to share ideas, open doors and shape the future together?
That was the question we at OpenX Lab asked ourselves when we launched Open Innovation Arenas (OIA) in 2024. OIA is a facilitated network and collaboration platform for companies and public organizations that want to enhance their ability to co-create, spark cross-sector value and strengthen the local innovation climate in the Southern and Western part of Sweden.
Since the launch, we’ve hosted five powerful workshops together with participants such as Volvo Penta, Bosch, Ericsson, Schneider Electric, Ignite Sweden, Zenit Design, Lund Municipality, Kraftringen and many more. The result? New relationships, real collaborations, bold test projects and a shared ambition to make a difference: locally, regionally and globally.
What do we do?
OIA isn’t about just talking innovation, it’s about DOING innovation. Through our activities we foster:
- Relationships and trust across organizational boundaries
- Shared arenas where ideas and needs meet in openness
- Testbeds for piloting new concepts and business cases in real-world settings
- Knowledge exchange between corporates, startups and the public sector
- Collaborative projects that drive sustainability, technology and talent development
