HBG Works
The City of Helsingborg has been acclaimed to be one of the most innovative cities in Europe. Their forward-thinking approach opened up for collaboration with us to create the innovation hub Hbg Works – welcoming employees, citizens and partnering companies – and bridging the gap between ideas and deployed digital solutions.
Challenge
- The city of Helsingborg wanted to bridge the gap between ideas and deployed digital solutions for employees and/or citizens of the city
- More and quicker (IT) results for less cost
- Become more attractive for recruiting new personnel
- A new environment to test and accelerate stuff
Approach
- Establish a new physical office space where teams from the digitalisation department and other units moved in together
- Mix of activity-based workspace, open space and rooms
- Benefit from Open Innovation by also having partner teams placed in the environment
- Injecting new ways of working and new methodologies, from the entrepreneurial area
- Ideon Open coaching, challenging, empowering, driving, developing.

- “Hbg Works” is established, an innovation hub for the city
